PROPANE GAS USE WITH GAS LOG SETS IN TEXAS
(Regulated by the Texas Railroad Commission)
Propane gas is heavier than air and natural gas is lighter than air
If you have propane gas and the fireplace is indoors or is located outside in a enclosed porch, you must purchase a safety pilot control valve for the G4 & G45 burner systems to use with your gas log and /or contemporary alternative choice. This is per the Texas Railroad Commission. Add the price of the valve to your choice of a gas log set to get the total price. If the fireplace is outside or uses natural gas, the safety pilot control valve is optional.
For the Automatic Safety Pilot System, they use batteries so they will continue to work if you lose power to your house.
